Futuristic Enigma Car Concept with Bio-Electric Hybrid Technology by Paul Howse

The futuristic Enigma car project is intended to represent the height of automotive exclusivity. You could argue that the only thing that separates one Veyron or Phantom from the other is the color and trim that the first owner specifies from new, whereas with Enigma, the patination of the bronze on the roof of the car would develop with the owner over time. When the car is sold to its next owner, it would be taken back to the factory, the body panels removed and would be retained as a piece of automotive sculpture for their beautiful landscaped gardens. The next owner would get a new piece of bronze to start their own story. Paul Howse, the designer, really wanted it to be like a sculpture on wheels, a work of art.

NASA Z-2 Suit : Biomimicry, Technology, or Trends In Society

Nasa has released 3 designs for Nasa Z-2 Suit where you get to vote which one should be our next generation spacesuit platform. It’s an upgraded version of Z-1 suit which was named as one of Time Magazine’s best invetions of 2012, now the Z-2 takes this spacesuit design to the next level in commitment to a final flight-capable design. Basically, this spacesuit marks several milestones for NASA:

  • First surface-specific planetary mobility suit which is tested in full vacuum
  • The first use of 3D human laser scans along with 3D printed hardware for suit development and sizing
  • It utilizes most advance impact-resistant composite structures for the upper and lower torso system
  • It integrates suit-port concept with a hard upper torso suit structure
  • The most adjustable hard upper torso suit built to this date.

It’s your exciting oppportunity to suit the winning spacesuit which look unlike any other previous suit built before. The previous Z-1 suit has received so many positive response, the NASA engineers wanted to take this chance to prove that the new upgraded model will have equally memorable appearance. The decision which one of these 3 prototypes to be built is within you, the public, so vote now to give them your voice.

1. The Biomimicry

This spacesuit is inspired by an environment with many parallels to the harsness of space, the oceans. It mimics bioluminescent qualities of aquatic creatures where you can find them in the depth of the ocean with scaly skin of fish. The design features segmented pleats from shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee, there’s electroluminescent wire accross the upper torso which becomes visible in low light environment.

Futuristic Rinspeed XchangE Autonomous Concept Car Is Too Good To Be True

If Rinspeed XchangE Autonomous concept car was going to be a standard for our future vehicle, then I would love to time travel into the future. From the outside, it looks just like any other car, but the inside that counts, it is filled with futuristic technology to make our driving experience as comfortable as possible. All major auto manufacturers are designing and developing autonomous driving car which should be our reality somewhere near future, but most of them put the finishing touch on the technology. Rinspeed chooses different approach by placing man at the center of the autonomous car and presents this concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

Rinspeed XchangE allows you to travel in business-class style, it’s both mobile office and mobile living room, you can sit and relax, enjoying the view along the way since the car moves you, not the other way around. Forget about tired eyes from staring at the road, you can sit back, relax, watch a movie or just listening to your favorite music while making a cup of espresso.

2030 Rolls Royce Eidolon Concept Car with Omni Wheel Technology for Better Maneuverability

Futuristic 2030 Rolls Royce Eidolon concept car features unique seating layout to demonstrate how users can drive and interact within the vehicle, thanks to autonomous technology equipped in the car. It’s a design study that was inspired by the luxury brand as most wealthy people love to be seen in large luxury cars even though they have to face city maneuverability issues. This concept car solves the issues with omni wheel technology, it creases its dimensions without compromising its maneuverability.

Luxury cars usually feature long body which might cause problems when driving in the city. By applying advanced omni wheel technology, the wheelbase no longer dictates the maneuverability of a car, instead, now the car length determines city friendliness of the car. Turning radius of a standard sedan is around 11m, but with this technology, the radius becomes 0, even 6-meter long vehicle equipped with omni wheel would be more maneuverable compared to normal c-segment sedan.

Futuristic Grand Cancun Eco Tourism Resort to Address Our Energy Crisis and Global Warming

Grand Cancun could be the world’s first luxury eco tourism resort that responds to our energy crisis and local fossil fuel dependency of the city. A huge marine platform complex designed by Prof. Arch. Richard Moreta Castillo who has been involved in green architecture for a long time. This is a vision for the year 2020 where Cancun will celebrate its 50th founding anniversary, a landmark or a memorial sculptural which is adapted from “Kaan Kun” or Nest of Snakes, just like the magical legend of Mayan Serpent God. This awesome eco architecture contributes to the myth and raises the serpent from water to infinity, a great representation of exceptional harmony between Mayan people and their new metropolis.

This concept architecture was inspired by our fight against global warming, it addresses problems that we will be facing such as scarcity of water, pollution of coastal shores due to debris, hydrocarbons from congested marine traffic, and space. Grand Cancun would become the first marine platform that recover instead of exploiting its environment, it utilizes platform concept instead of an artificial island, thus, creating more space yet less impact in marine ecosystem.

Loupe Concept Remote Control : Smart Future Technology for Older Generations

Loupe is a new generation concept remote control of a smart TV. The design focuses on creating a “Telefriend”, opposite to the simple-minded mechanical “Telecommande” of today. This futuristic remote is the user’s highly personalized friend, following the trend of individualized “smart” technologies and devices.

The main idea is a “magnifying glass”, a remote that would reveal all the intricate and complex features to the user. These industrial designers focus more on the older generation people, those that might need more assistance understanding the swiftly advancing TV technology. The remote itself would also have actual magnifying features to facilitate helping this demographic and translating almost an analog, understandable method into newer technology.

Airblow 2050 : Futuristic Umbrella Without Fabric, Would You Use It?

Airblow 2050 is your futuristic umbrella concept. This project has been designed as part of James Dyson Award based on the idea how unpractical our conventional umbrella is. As you already know, umbrella causes your floor wet, users collision, and turns inside out when strong wind blows. Keeping this in mind, the designer played with the idea what if there’s no fabric? What can we use to protect us from the rain?

Airblow 2050 has been designed based on Dyson’s technology, it utilizes Dyson digital motor to inhales air and blows it out and create invisible protection dome to bounce any water drops. User can open this concept umbrella and turn on the motor to create air dome, pretty cool, isn’t it? One thing for sure, you will not able to use this umbrella to protect you from the sun.
